Soil Invertebrate Communities as Indicator of Ecological Conservation Status of Some Fertilised Grasslands from Romania

Quantification of soil biological status, through investigation edaphic communities’ composition, constitutes an important factor for the assessment grassland ecosystems, including their protection. The structure invertebrate communities was investigated five grasslands under different chemical and organic treatments, first time in Romania. In order to accomplish this task, some structural parameters were quantified: numerical abundance, taxa richness, Shannon diversity index equitability. We demonstrated relationship between environmental factors (vegetation coverage, temperature, acidity, resistance at penetration, moisture content) community structures fauna. total, 17 groups identified with a total abundance 14,953 individuals. Considering dominant Acaridae, Collembola, Oribatida Mesostigmata, least being Coleoptera, Opiliones Araneae. spatial dynamics plots characterised specifically by invertebrates’ structures, highlighted varied values parameters: indicator characteristic average parameters. Multivariate statistical analysis revealed that most environment influencing vegetation coverage (especially on Glycyphagidae Formicoidea) penetration (Nematoda Coleoptera). This study scientific argument usage as indicators ecological conservation status fertilised grasslands.
